Baritone - or more precisely the euphonium baritone particularly in the brass band formations. His vocal range is a fifth below the alto saxhorn. The baritone has the same tone as the euphonium and the same fundamental. The ear ringing sounds the "higher" than the euphonium then it sounds really clear. Baritone thus its fundamental sounding a fourth below the alto, baritone but also a bore larger than the viola.
