Marcus Miller's name is often associated with the Fender Jazz Bass of the 70s. Its deep, slamming sound has become emblematic in the world of jazz fusion and modern funk. As well as his solo albums, he has composed for the cinema, notably for American films and documentaries. He has worked with a wide range of artists including Eric Clapton, Aretha Franklin and David Sanborn. His album M² won a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Album in 2001. Marcus Miller is also involved in humanitarian projects linked to education and musical culture.
