Nedis - CCGB61EXTBK500 - Extension USB A/RJ45

The Nedis CCGB61EXTBK500 is a USB extension solution designed to overcome the physical limitations of traditional USB cables. Where a traditional USB cable quickly reaches its length constraints, this system enables the signal to be transported up to 50 metres using a simple Cat5e or Cat6 network cable fitted with RJ45 connectors.

The principle is simple: a transmitter module connects to the computer's USB-A port, while a receiver module is placed close to the USB device. The two are connected by a standard network cable. The built-in USB 2.0 signal amplifier compensates for losses and guarantees stable transmission at up to 480 Mbps, in line with the USB 2.0 standard.

This is a particularly interesting solution for music and audiovisual applications. It allows you to install a USB interface, MIDI controller, software licence key, capture system or streaming webcam remotely from the main workstation, without moving the computer.

In the studio, rehearsal room or on stage, this makes it easier to organise space and manage cables. As a fixed installation, it can also be used to position USB peripherals in technical racks or separate control rooms.
