Neutrik - NO2-4FDW-A

In optical network installations used for audio over IP, video or stage infrastructures, the connection must remain reliable while remaining simple to install. The Neutrik NO2-4FDW-A responds precisely to this need. This optical chassis connector has been designed to integrate an LC-Duplex fibre optic link into a panel or equipment, while simplifying cabling.

Its special feature is its feedthrough principle. In practical terms, the connector acts as a direct fibre feedthrough: at the rear of the panel, a standard LC-Duplex connector can be plugged in directly, without any complex wiring operations. This makes integration into racks, network interfaces or OEM equipment much easier. The technician simply installs the connector in a D-format panel, then connects the fibre on either side.

The front-panel connection can accommodate either a rugged opticalCON connector or a standard LC, giving great flexibility depending on the type of installation. The Push-Pull system secures the front connection to prevent accidental disconnection.

To protect the fibre, Neutrik has incorporated an automatic shutter with a silicone seal. This mechanism closes the connection when it is not in use and prevents dust or dirt from reaching the optical interface, which is essential for preserving signal quality.

When used with compatible SCDP-* caps, the assembly achieves IP65 protection, suitable for demanding technical environments.

Important: this connector is not an optical converter. It is only used to pass LC-Duplex fibre through a panel, to facilitate installation and protect the connection.
