Expander / Sound Module
TEO-5 Module, compact 5-voice analogue synthesiser with SEM filters, advanced modulation, built-in effects and vintage Oberheim sounds in a desktop module.
ARTICLE N° 107609
Presentation
The TEO-5 Desktop has all the charm of the keyboard model, but in a format that's easier to fit on a desk or in a flight. With its two analogue oscillators per voice, sub-oscillator and through-zero FM, it delivers the fat, textured sound immediately associated with the Oberheim signature. Cumulative waveforms allow you to switch from a soft grain to a sharper tension in the blink of an eye.
The filter section is a direct nod to the original SEM, with a continuous sweep between low-pass, notch and high-pass. This fluid control produces highly nuanced sonic colours, all the more interesting when combined with advanced modulation. Two loopable five-segment envelopes, two synchronisable LFOs and a comprehensive matrix give life to the slightest variations.
In the studio, this module quickly makes you forget its size. It includes an independent reverb, a multi-effect (delay, chorus, phaser, distortion, etc.) and even a dedicated overdrive. So you can create rich sonic textures, ready to be integrated directly into a mix without post-processing. The effects, although digital, retain a real musicality and are perfectly integrated into the sound flow.
In terms of control, the TEO-5 Desktop features a fluid arpeggiator, a polyphonic step sequencer and an adjustable unison mode for up to five voices. It's also compatible with expression and sustain pedals, and its USB port ensures full MIDI communication with any DAW or controller. In short, an interface designed to allow you to create without obstacles, without having to plunge into menus.
The TEO-5 Desktop is aimed at musicians, sound designers and producers who want the richness of Oberheim analogue without the hassle of a large keyboard. It fits on a shelf but fills a mix, with that unique grain that few machines can match. Whether it's synthwave, techno, film music or progressive rock, it brings that extra soul sought after by anyone who wants a lively, inspiring sound.
