The Ortofon 2M Mono SE is a special edition produced by the Danish manufacturer to coincide with the release of The Beatles in Mono collector's vinyl box set. This MM technology cell (hence the name 2M) is based on the Ortofon 2M Mono mono cell, from which it takes many design elements. What sets it apart, however, is its Lexan DMX resin body and top-of-the-range Nude Shibata diamond, identical to that used in the Ortofon MC Jubilee, Ortofon 2M Black and Ortofon Cadenza Black phono cells.
The Ortofon 2M Mono SE offers exceptional sound reproduction, both in terms of detail and musicality. The Nude Shibata diamond allows precise tracking of the microgrooves, resulting in reproduction of the most subtle sonic nuances. The frequency response is also very wide, enabling the entire sound spectrum to be reproduced, from the deepest bass to the most crystal-clear highs.
