At the foot of a workshop machine, the cable always ends in a socket – in this case, the red PC Electric 16 A 5-pin socket.
It is designed for cable manufacturing, so the length is cut to suit the route between the distribution board and the machine. Its 5-pin CEE 16 A (female) connector accepts the male plug on the machine side. A made-to-measure cable avoids the need for connectors.
The red colour is easily spotted from a distance on a cluttered floor. Weighing just 160 g, the socket can be handled with one hand when connecting.
