The red 5-pin female PC Electric CEE 32 A socket is used as a connection point in a three-phase electrical distribution system. Its 5-pin CEE 32 A (F) connector fits onto a branch outlet or extension lead of the same standard, without the need for an adapter.
Its cable-mounted design is fitted to the end of a cable cut to the required length, depending on the needs of a rehearsal, a stage or an event site. The red colour provides a clear visual cue in a dark control room and helps to identify the three-phase connection amongst the other connections.
The five pins carry the three phases, the neutral and the earth within a single housing, so a single cable can power a stage rack or a hoist motor. The connection can be made in a single step.
