The Pearl CPR-1278 adapter is the part you need to modernise your kit without changing all your existing holders. It allows you to convert your traditional 22.2mm (7/8") tube holders into barrel holders compatible with modern 9.5mm to 12.7mm L-Rod rods. The Pearl CPR-1278 is an adaptor that converts a 7/8" pipe tom receiver into a 12.7mm L-Rod mount. This conversion makes it easy to switch from a traditional system to a modern mount.
Installation is as simple as inserting the 22.2 mm horizontal tip into a standard Pearl receiver. Once tightened, it fits directly into a 9.5 to 12.7 mm vertical L-Rod. This system allows you to use recent brackets while retaining older accessories.
The integrated Gyro-Lock allows smooth adjustment through 180° vertically and 360° horizontally. The tom can be orientated precisely, with no angle constraints. The memory notch effectively locks the adapter in place and prevents it from slipping. The CPR-1278 provides a firm hold, even with powerful hits.
It is compatible with OptiMount, OptiLock and several Pearl systems such as BT-3, ISS and R2 Air. This versatility means the adaptor can be integrated into different configurations without constraint.
