Presentation
The Pearl DC1465SC snare drum embodies the sonic evolution of one of the greatest drummers of all time. This Signature model was developed with Dennis Chambers. This is a snare drum designed to sculpt detail and power. Its 4-ply maple structure with 4-ply bevel reinforcement recalls the DNA of its original Signature model.
The multi-link design incorporates 10 tuning points on the striking head and 8 on the resonating head. This configuration allows for precise tuning with a clear emphasis on high frequencies. The crack is dry, snappy and very articulate, with a clean attack that remains legible in all situations. The sound is deep, brilliant and controlled.
The major innovation comes from the SR-300 Philharmonic Strainer mechanism. This system incorporates 3 individually adjustable 6-string timbres. Each strand can be activated or deactivated separately to fine-tune the response and texture of the sound. This allows you to adapt the snare drum to each musical style and context. Mastercast Die-Cast hoops improve projection and tuning stability.
