The Pearl FFXCC1412A-103 snare drum is based on a maple body reinforced with an inner layer of carbon fibre, providing a clear hit while maintaining a balanced tonal base. This choice of materials helps the snare drum to remain accurate on the field, even when the overall volume of the drum kit increases. The free-floating design allows the drumhead to vibrate without being braked by the mounting, improving projection and responsiveness under the sticks.
The OneTouch tone system makes it easy to activate and adjust the strings, while remaining unobtrusive and lightweight - an important feature for long performances. Vents throughout the body contribute to a smoother response and greater sensitivity, particularly in the lower registers.
