Pearl Corporation is the global leader in the production of percussion instruments of all kinds, especially the batteries. Pearl Instrument was established in April 1946 by Katsumi Yanagisawa in a small workshop near Sumida Tokyo to market desks for musicians. 4 years later, our friend industrious starts making percussion and changes the name of his company in Pearl Industries. 3 years later, she became the Pearl Musical Instrument Company and produces all kinds of percussion for Japan (mainly for schools elsewhere), focusing in the following year the US market. In 1959 one of his friends, the owner of a music store, strongly suggest Yanagisawa to devote himself to the battery. The success is immediate and the young entrepreneur has all the interest of the industry in which it invests thoroughly. In 1957, his eldest son, Mitsuo creates the export department. 5 years later, he opened a new factory of 4500 m2 in Chiba (Japan) which is still the headquarters of the company.
