The Pearl FTSS1435 snare drum is part of the Task Specific range developed for well-defined sound roles. Its piccolo format emphasises pitch and precision. The 1 mm stainless steel body produces a fast, very open attack.
The crack is dry, snappy and naturally brilliant. The harmonics are lively and give the sound a real personality. The Free Floating system frees the barrel completely from any mechanical constraints. The result is clear projection and immediate response.
Moulded Mastercast hoops enhance attack and stabilise tuning. The SR-160F Click-Lock trigger remains reliable even when fine-tuned. Sensitive tone picks up even the slightest ghost note.
