The Pearl ISS 12"/16" suspension is a fastener designed to mount toms without constricting their resonance. The system attaches to the rim of the barrel and lets the shell vibrate freely. The result is more natural sustain and a more open sound.

The Pearl ISS 12"/16" is an integrated suspension designed to preserve the natural resonance of the toms. It is attached directly to the barrel rim rather than the shell. This limits the points of contact and allows the wood to vibrate freely. The result is longer sustain and a livelier sound.
This suspension is compatible with toms from 12" to 16". It works with 2.3 mm thick hoops. You can use it with a tom-holder arm for rack, stand or bass drum mounting. Installation is quick and easy, with no need to modify the drum. Once in place, the tom remains stable, even when playing hard. The ISS system is appreciated for its efficiency and visual discretion. It is equally suited to rehearsal set-ups and stage set-ups.
The mounting respects the balance of the drum and avoids parasitic vibrations. It can be easily integrated into an existing set.
