The Pearl PBJVR14-684 djembe is built around a patented synthetic body that keeps the instrument light yet strong. Traditional string tuning is achieved by weaving triangles to adjust the tension of the skin, offering a wide range of sounds.
The synthetic skin is resistant to changes in humidity and temperature, so the sound remains stable even when the instrument is moved or used for long periods. The bottom of the body is protected by a rubber coating, making it easy to handle and preserving the instrument.
