Pearl Instrument was established in April 1946 by Katsumi Yanagisawa in a small workshop near Sumida Tokyo to market desks for musicians. 4 years later, our friend industrious starts making percussion and changes the name of his company in Pearl Industries. 3 years later, she became the Pearl Musical Instrument Company and produces all kinds of percussion for Japan (mainly for schools elsewhere), focusing in the following year the US market. The success is immediate and the young entrepreneur has all the interest of the industry in which it invests thoroughly. Today, Pearl remains the largest battery manufacturer in the world with factories and offices in Taiwan, Japan and the United States.
