If you're looking for a snare drum that packs a punch, take a look at this Pearl PHB1450/N! With its 1.5 mm brass body and shiny black nickel finish, it's a snare with character, both to the eye and to the ear.
This 35.5 x 12.7 cm (14" x 5") model is part of the Philharmonic series, designed for serious players in orchestras and concert halls. It incorporates 3 different types of timbre (coated cable, stainless steel cable and wired cable) that can be activated separately or together, to vary the pleasures without changing instruments. In rehearsal or live, it makes a big difference!
The SR505 Triad Silent Strainer system makes it easy to adjust tension. Each tone can be adjusted individually, but also globally using a central knob.
Single-flange rings, tubular tie rods, Remo Diplomat Renaissance skin... everything is there, solid and well thought out. And when the time comes to change the skin or a timbre, don't panic: the quick-release system remembers your settings.
