The PSSO PowerCon 3 x 1.5 5 m H07RN-F power cable weighs 750 g for five metres, or 150 g per metre – a ratio that you can feel as soon as you pick it up. The load is distributed evenly along the entire length of the cable, so that neither end pulls any harder than the other.
The H07RN-F power cable comprises three 1.5 mm² conductors, a cross-section suitable for amplifiers and powered subwoofers of moderate power. At the end of connector A, the male earth pin routes the earth from the socket to the equipment, whilst the PowerCON connector B locks into place by turning. The integrated NEUTRIK connector forms a single unit with the cable.
At 5 m, the cable reaches a socket some distance from the amplifier, at the back of a small rehearsal room or at the edge of the stage. The black colour blends in with neighbouring cables, and the European manufacture is indicated on the plug. PSSO, the audio brand of Steinigke Showtechnic, a German company, was launched in 2005 for stage sound systems and fixed installations.
