The Remo 14" Ebony Pinstripe drumhead is designed for 14" toms and snare drums. It is aimed at musicians who appreciate a more concentrated sound with fewer overtones. Its sound character emphasises low frequencies while retaining good definition.
The design is based on 2 superimposed layers of film. The first uses 10 thousandths of an inch Ebony film while the second uses 5 thousandths of an inch transparent film. This combination provides more control than a single-ply skin. Strikes remain crisp even when playing becomes more energetic.
The Pinstripe series is renowned for its ability to naturally reduce certain unwanted resonances. The result is a more compact sound without the need for multiple attenuation solutions.
