The Remo Controlled Sound skins (CS) Sandblasted skins are manufactured with single-ply 10-mil thick sandblasted (type Ambassador), and a round reinforcement 5 mil thick.

This combination provides a specific tone and contolled by eliminating unwanted harmonics. The outer surface produces a sensitive sound rather centered on the mids, while the reinforcement adds tonal accuracy and greater strength to resist the batsmen supported the strike.
