Chosen by Bass Player Magazine as their favourite flatwound, the Jazz Bass 77 uses unique materials to produce a very bright tone.
While the manufacturing techniques remain a closely guarded secret, we do know that they are still produced by hand on machines built by James How in the late 60s.
The Monel 400 strip used to spin this series, compared with the much cheaper steel used by the competition, brings out the true character of these strings.
The Jazz Bass 77 series has found favour with many of the world's greatest artists, including Oasis, Steve Harris, Roger Waters and Herbie Flowers.
