The Schill RM Cover (for side-winding) is the cover that closes off the side of a cable reel. Its function as an RM auxiliary reel keeps wires and cables neatly in place during transport. The plastic does not rust, and at 150 g, the cover weighs almost nothing on the reel.
This cover is suitable for use with compressed air hoses, water hoses and high-pressure hoses, as well as with cables, control cables and special cables. It enables the storage and transport of cables and wires of all kinds, whether in a workshop, on a building site or behind the scenes.
Schill has been based in Laichingen, Baden-Württemberg, since 1968, and the RM Cover bears the ‘Made in Germany’ mark. The brand was founded in 1948 by Otto Schill, an engineer who invented a portable cable reel. Today, it offers models for audio, video, events and industry.
The RM Cover complements these cable reels on the auxiliary spool side, without altering their function of storing and transporting cables and wires. It fits into an accessories case with virtually no change to the weight of the load. The ‘RM’ designation is found in the names of several Schill reel models, making it easy to match them with the correct cover.
