Stratocaster electric guitar pickup, offset magnets, single winding, reversed polarity centre position, supplied with white cover. The SSL-52 takes its name from the magnets it uses: a mix of Alnico 2 and 5, specifically positioned for smooth highs and tight lows, for a super-musical result. This RWRP model uses the same magnets and winding as the standard version, but is wound in the opposite direction, with the polarity reversed so that, when combined with the neck or bridge pickups in positions 2 and 4, it gives you quiet operation without the characteristic hum of single-coil pickups.

Presentation
The classic Five-Two Stratocaster pickup was originally designed for Nashville studio players who wanted to soften the treble attack on their high strings while retaining all the articulate snap on the low strings.
The solution was a mix of Alnico 2 and Alnico 5 rod magnets that offer the best of both worlds:
- The Alnico 2 rods under the G, B and E strings offer a smooth treble response.
- The Alnico 5s under the E, A and D bass strings keep them crisp and clear.
