The CO870-L is a Bb cornet with a medium bore, designed to combine playing precision with a responsive feel. Designed by SML Paris to accompany curious musicians, this model relies on tried-and-tested materials such as pink copper, brass, nickel silver and monel, while incorporating discreet engraving on the bell. Its ∅125 mm bell favours beautiful projection without excess, and its nickel silver slides ensure smooth action over time. SML Paris is targeting motivated blowers in search of a reliable, complete instrument capable of keeping up without flinching, whether in harmony or as a clever soloist.

Presentation
This SML Paris CO870-L model plays it straight with its ∅125 mm brass bell and pink copper neck, a combination with plenty of temperament to thrill even the wisest of music stands. The ∅11.65 mm medium bore balances suppleness and density, providing a variety of pleasures without the need to strain like a lumberjack in winter. The tough, durable monel pistons ensure fast action, while the mother-of-pearl-style buttons add a little visual flair. The whole thing is reliable enough to respond at a moment's notice when inspiration strikes.
The lacquered finish gives this CO870-L a sober yet brilliant look, a bit like a soloist who's had a good night's sleep. Its triggers on the 1st and 3rd slides allow you to adjust the tuning expressly, without having to do any digital gymnastics.
The SML Paris CO870-L cornet comes with a hard case to limit uncontrolled slippage, a mouthpiece to get you started straight away, and an ultra-complete BG maintenance kit. Between the swabs (piston, slides, mouthpiece), oil and grease, you'll even have enough to make you think you're being thorough.
