Presentation
To find the right cello for your child:
Sit on the edge of a chair so that the knees are bent at ninety degrees.
The top edge of the instrument's resonance box should rest in the centre of the chest (on the sternum) and the peg of the C string should be slightly behind the left ear.
The knees should be slightly close to the bottom of the instrument, and the corners should be just above the inside of the leg.
The future musician should be able to reach both ends of the fingerboard with ease.
For the 1/4 cello: approximately 6-8 years.
