Tama - CLT13R-PGGP Superstar 13" x 9"

The Tama CLT13R-PGGP Superstar Classic 13 "x9" tom is a suspended tom from the Superstar Classic series. This range follows in the footsteps of the Superstar drums first introduced by Tama over forty years ago.

The body is a hybrid construction consisting of 4 layers of maple and two outer layers of Lacebark Pine. Together they form a thickness of around 5 mm, designed to promote resonance and projection. The maple provides warmth and tonal balance. The natural grain of the Lacebark Pine contributes to a more defined attack and a strong visual presence.

The 13 "x9" format produces a clean attack and a strong presence in the mix. This size fits easily into a wide range of drum set configurations. It's equally suited to dynamic rhythms and more nuanced passages.

The Star-Mount suspension system holds the tom in place while limiting the points of contact with the body. This design maintains free vibration and better overall resonance.

The Low-Mass shells also contribute to this approach by reducing the mass attached to the body. This configuration favours a more open response and natural sustain.

The tom is fitted with Power Craft II heads selected by Tama to offer a balanced response right from the outset.

The Gloss Garnet Lacebark Pine finish brings out the complex grain of the outer wood. This varnished surface adds depth and visual character to the whole kit.
