The 300D nylon of the Tobago AP1008T cover for a 10" x 8" Tom? It's supposed to protect well, and there's no evidence of scratches. Some covers end up marking, even after a single use. Not this one. As for the 600D polyester, it holds up well and doesn't deteriorate quickly. You can see it, but it still holds up.
