Triad-Orbit - Inside Piano Clamp System

Triad-Orbit's Inside Piano Clamp System is the answer to a well-known problem faced by sound engineers: how to position a pair of microphones inside a piano without multiplying the number of stands around the instrument, or compromising stability or precision of orientation.

Like all Triad-Orbit systems, it is based on IO components selected for a specific task. The heart of the system is the IO-C clamp, designed to attach securely to an internal structure of the piano. This mechanical base provides a stable, discreet anchoring point that is perfectly suited to the constraints of a demanding acoustic environment.

The OA Orbit Arm provides freedom of positioning. Thanks to its orbital joint, it allows precise adjustment of angle and reach, essential for adjusting the capture between low and high strings, or for working in XY, ORTF or other stereo configurations. The IO-Vector Utility Bar extends the possibilities even further, offering a linear support for mounting two microphones with controlled spacing.

The two M2 Short Stem adapters, equipped with the IO Quick-Change system, make it easy to install and replace microphones. Together, they create a compact, rigid structure capable of maintaining a stable microphone pairing even during dynamic performances. The result is controlled internal miking, a compact footprint and quick set-up, whether in the studio or on stage.
