Turbosound has for over 20 years been able to exploit the principle of "Point Source" with the Flashlight system.
This principle is to create spherical wave segments: pregnant form a three dimensional array and their axes intersect at a single virtual point situated behind the set: "Point Source". The cluster then functions as a single sound source, each of the elements being directed to a different area.
The British manufacturer has therefore worked hard to develop a new pavilion type capable of solving these problems through Polyhorn.
This new pavilion, the Polyhorn is a multicellular structure.
The exponential profile is subdivided into many waveguides while ensuring that all trips between the diaphragm and the mouth of the flag and made are of equal length. Thus all the frequencies transmitted by the diaphragm arrive together at the mouth, providing a uniform wave front phase.
Such a device makes it possible to overcome the shortcomings of conventional exponential pavilions: we can now count on the Polyhorn coverage consistency and a homogeneous coverage frequency without interference between adjacent pavilions.
