Presentation
The CVA active series is an approach to sound systems based on a legendary tradition of low-frequency sound reproduction. The CVA-28 is a 3-way loudspeaker, equipped with two 8" drivers that work as a full-range loudspeaker or as a satellite loudspeaker with subwoofer. Fitted with the finest Custom Cerwin-Vega drivers, the CVA-28 boasts astonishing power, a highly effective bass reproduction and a very faithful midrange/low midrange. The compression driver is of the coaxial type for ultra-precise high-frequency reproduction, eliminating all phase problems. There is also an EQ switch optimised for high-level situations. Another low-pass switch, this one allowing the use or non-use of a SUB CVA. Connections include an XLR mic/line input and a 6.35 mm female jack for the instrument inputs. Finally, the CVA-28s can be assembled or installed in two or three-piece units using specially designed flyware kits. If you're looking for powerful, upgradeable speakers, the CVA-28s are for you. The subwoofer range comprises 3 models: CVA 121X, CVA 118X and CVA 115X, offering a wide choice for all types of use.

In 1954, Gene Czerwinski was a brilliant young aerospace engineer when he founded Cerwin-Vega.

70s, Cerwin-Vega became the first manufacturer to produce its own digital recordings
to evaluate loudspeaker design parameters.
During the 1980s, Cerwin-Vega continued to evolve its engineering excellence by
developing loudspeakers with incredible acoustic rendering in a range of products with
range of products with outstanding characteristics and low-end response, placing Cerwin-Vega
placing Cerwin-Vega at the forefront of the audio market.
The destiny of Cerwin-Vega continued with the acquisition of the brand by "The Stanton Group" in the mid-1980s.
