Reeds

For tenor saxophonists looking for a stable reed, the VK7 Jazz Force 30 Vandoren offers a constant response without the influence of humidity. Its fibre composite material preserves the essential acoustic qualities of reed and maintains a balanced timbre over time. A reliable approach to jazz, with a consistent feel from the very first use.

ARTICLE N° 119286
When playing the tenor saxophone, certain situations call for a reed that can remain constant, whatever the conditions. With the VK7 Jazz Force 30, Vandoren has developed a synthetic reed designed to maintain the same sonic cues and playing sensations, whether in extended rehearsals or during a concert.

Its design is based on a patented fibre composite material, developed after seven years of research. This material incorporates the essential physical properties of reed to maintain natural acoustic behaviour, while remaining totally impervious to moisture and saliva. The reed does not deform, retains its structure and lasts much longer than a traditional reed.

The Jazz cut provides precise articulation and good projection, with a clear timbre and stable high notes. The highly controlled manufacturing process also guarantees perfect homogeneity: two reeds of the same strength deliver exactly the same response and sound. This reed can be used immediately, without any preparation, giving the musician expressive, fluid playing that's particularly well suited to jazz styles.
