The Vic Firth M31 mallet is a signature model designed in direct collaboration with jazz vibraphonist Terry Gibbs.
Thanks to its rattan neck, the musician benefits from a natural flexibility that improves bounce. On top of this, the head is surrounded by a carefully wound blue cord that gives it a controlled attack. This choice of design gives the vibraphone a round, clear sound.
The mallet also adapts very well to the marimba and even to certain areas of the xylophone. What's more, the collaboration with Terry Gibbs ensures real artistic know-how in the design. Here we find the spirit of jazz combined with Vic Firth's manufacturing quality.
