The Vic Firth Russ Miller Signature Hi-Def retractable drum brushes completely reinvent the approach to this instrument by offering a unique concept: a dedicated brush for each hand to overcome the acoustic challenges of modern stages.
For the left hand (generally used for sweeping), the ‘Sweep’ brush uses medium-gauge metal wires to produce a fluid, rich and particularly musical sound.
For the right hand (used for rhythm), the “Ride” brush features a tighter spread and uses thicker wires, delivering exceptional cymbal rebound and clear projection capable of cutting through even the densest mixes.
Designed in collaboration with multi-platinum studio drummer Russ Miller, these premium steel retractable brushes restore the art of brush playing to its former glory, whether in large ensembles or amplified set-ups.
