Vox Amplification Ltd was acquired by Korg in 1992, and has since launched the best version of the AC30 in many years, as well as a new range of digital amps. Production has been relocated to Asian countries: for example, the brand's flagship model, the AC30, has been produced in China since 2005, in a slightly revised version (the amp now has a 'master' volume knob).

Recently, Vox has positioned itself as a market leader in hybrid transistor/tube modelling amplification thanks to its Valvetronix technology, which combines a 12AX/7 preamp tube (in the amp stage) with quality modelling software layouts. Vox also produces guitar effects pedals such as the Vox Satchurator since 2008 which won a MIPA in its category1
