Bring more width and power to your orchestral passages with the Zildjian A Symphonic Germanic Tone 20" pair of cymables. Its deep, dark, sustained crash easily finds its way into symphonic works, dramatic climaxes and Wagnerian repertoires. A pair designed for percussionists looking for a full response, big acoustic volume and a real feeling of space in the hall.

Presentation
The Zildjian A Symphonic Germanic Tone 20" cymbals are designed for percussionists who play in symphonic ensembles, where crashes need to retain width and hold, even in the midst of a very dense orchestra. With their larger diameter, these cymbals naturally develop greater fullness and a wider blast than the smaller versions in the series. In a large concert hall, this difference is immediately apparent.
The sound starts with a heavy, powerful attack, then the sustain continues to develop progressively in space. This behaviour works particularly well in romantic works, large orchestral climaxes or passages where the brass, timpani and strings rise sharply in intensity. The character remains dark and quite martial, with that typical Germanic colour of heavy orchestral cymbals.
Thanks to their Medium Heavy construction, they maintain a stable sound even when played hard. Percussionists looking for very fast or lighter crashes are more likely to go for French or Viennese models, whereas here everything is designed to produce a wide, dense and long-lasting sound. This pair really helps to give greater depth and relief to large orchestral dynamics. The straps are sold separately.
