Crafted from select US hickory, they feature a slim 0.550” diameter combined with a long shank – a configuration that promotes a light feel and precise control over dynamics.

Author of seminal works used in conservatoires worldwide (such as *The Art of Bop Drumming*), he has taught at prestigious institutions such as the Manhattan School of Music. Musically, his CV is staggering: he has brought his subtle, fluid swing – characterised by legendary technical clarity – to the stage alongside the greatest masters, including Miles Davis, Stan Getz, Woody Herman, Dizzy Gillespie and the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra.
