AKG - AB4000 EW
The AKG AB4000 EW is an antenna amplifier designed to maintain a stable RF signal on installations using long coaxial cables. Compatible with AKG's active and passive antennas, it integrates easily into professional wireless systems for live, broadcast or fixed installations.
Presentation
Compatible with AKG active and passive antennas such as the RA4000 B/EW, RA4000 EW, SRA2 B/EW and SRA2 EW, the AB4000 EW operates over a very wide frequency range from 470 to 952 MHz. This means it can be integrated into a wide range of professional HF infrastructures used for touring, events, conferences and broadcasting.
The system offers amplification of up to 17.5 dB to effectively recover the losses associated with long coaxial links. An adjustment switch allows compensation to be precisely matched to the length of cable used, optimising RF levels without unnecessarily overloading the system. In particularly large installations, two boosters can be used in cascade to further increase usable distances.
The AB4000 EW is housed in a robust, weatherproof metal casing, making it easy to use in demanding technical environments, both indoors and out. Its remote power supply via the antenna cable also simplifies integration and avoids the need for additional external power supplies close to the antennas.

Founded in 1947 in Vienna, AKG is today one of the major players in the world of audio, with references for microphones and headphones used in the world's largest recording studios. These include the C414 condenser microphone, the small C451 diaphragm and the K series of monitoring headsets.
Since its acquisition by Harman International in 1994, AKG has continued to innovate with new stage microphones, analog and digital wireless systems, the Perception Series, and collaborations with artists such as Tiësto on DJ headphones.
