Presentation
With the Discreet Compact Series, AKG offers an alternative for budget-conscious installations. That's why the Discreet Compact Series goosenecks come with a single flexible section, direct mounting between the gooseneck and the capsule itself, and a standard 3-pin XLR connector.
A special feature of the Discreet Compact Series is that the gooseneck and capsule form an integral unit. The front grille is integral with the gooseneck and the internal contacts are soldered.
This protects the delicate capacitor capsule from mechanical stress and electromagnetic interference, ensuring optimum reliability and excellent audio quality.
The gooseneck base features an XLR connector with gold-plated contacts. The metal body houses the microphone's electronics. The flexible section is robust and allows the microphone to be positioned precisely.
