Ampeg brings you the SVT-CL 300W, a 300-watt tube amp head with six amp tubes and two 12AX7 preamps for expressive sonic presence. When you plug your bass into the SVT-CL from Ampeg, you immediately have at hand a 300-watt tube amp capable of powering 2 or 4 ohm speakers without faltering. You'll notice its eleven tubes: two 12AX7s for the input, one 12AX7 and two 12AU7s in the drive section, and six 6550s for power, an architecture designed to deliver a warm, dynamic response.
On the front panel, the controls are simple but effective: Gain, Master, Bass, Treble and Mids, the latter with five switchable frequencies (220, 450, 800, 1600 and 3000 Hz), complemented by Ultra-Low and Ultra-High options for sculpting the bottom and top of the spectrum.
At the rear, a DI (XLR) output, Speakon or conventional speaker jacks, a power amp input, a pre-amp/slave output and bias control ensure versatile use, whether on stage or in the studio.
