The Recone Kit 15CX40 8 Ohm is designed to restore a damaged B&C 15CX40 loudspeaker to its original acoustic integrity and coaxial response. In the event of diaphragm tearing, voice coil failure or natural wear, this kit is the ideal solution for giving the loudspeaker a new lease of life without changing its structure.
This kit contains all the components needed to rebuild the loudspeaker: a WP-treated bass cone on the front for improved resistance to humidity, a 76 mm aluminium voice coil for the LF section and a titanium dome with 75 mm voice coil for the HF section. The components are rigorously identical to those used in the manufacture of the original 15CX40, with optimised alignment to ensure stable mechanical and electrical behaviour after repair.
The aim is clear: to restore the characteristics of the 15CX40 as it was on day one. This includes an operating range of 45 Hz to 20 kHz, a sensitivity of 99 dB for the bass and 106 dB for the treble, and a continuous power handling of 800 W overall. This kit brings back the efficiency and versatility of the coaxial loudspeaker, used for stage monitors, front speakers and mobile sound applications.
