The first System 55 synth modules came out in the early 70s and tended to be extremely expensive.
They were mainly transistor designs, as operational amplifiers at the time were very expensive.
The circuits gave the modules a very distinctive sound and were used by artists such as Keith Emerson, Stevie Wonder, Tangerine Dream and many others, giving us some of the greatest records we have ever heard.
Modular synths have been a landmark development in electronic music and today they're about to get even better.

Behringer brings it back to life in the System 55 modular synthesizer: 38 vintage-sounding pre-assembled synth modules, mounted and fully powered in two super-rugged EURORACK GO cases.
It even has extra space for even more modules!
