The DT 990 Edition and DT 990 PRO are identical in terms of sound. Acoustic transducers of identical design are used.
However, the Edition models have a slightly softer headband for enjoying music at home, while the PRO headphones have a slightly tighter fit on the head so they won't move even with the faster movements of everyday studio use.
What's more, the PRO version comes with a coiled cable and the Edition version with a straight cable.
