The BOSS Katana series has quickly become a staple in the world of electric guitar amplifiers. The Katana 50 has become the flagship of the series, winning over guitarists the world over.

Based on the modelling of amps that have marked the history of the guitar, BOSS engineers have created 5 versatile presets ranging from the purest clean sound to the wildest saturation. This third generation brings a new addition to the team: Pushed, the equivalent of a compressed clean sound with a slight boost and even a slight crunch.

What's more, each character has a second voicing for a dozen or so even more expressive tones, with a response ever closer to that of tube models.

A channel specially created for electro-acoustic guitarists further enhances the beast's versatility, which, coupled with its compact size and controlled power, makes it the ideal companion whether you're rehearsing in your bedroom or playing on a small stage.

The Katana also comes with a full section of effects modelled on their famous pedals, giving you maximum scope for creating your own presets.

All this is enhanced by a custom-made 12" speaker that respects the authenticity of the beast's sound.

In terms of connectors, this combo has plenty to offer, with the option of connecting two footswitches or a footswitch + expression pedal, giving you total control over your sound. You can also plug in headphones to work in silence, or connect your favourite multi-effects to the power input to amplify your set on stage.

If you like to jam, you can connect an external audio player via a jack cable or use the BT-DUAL adapter for a stable wireless link (adapter sold separately).
