Mouthpiece

To tame the baritone's acoustic mass, the Brancher France BHG wraps the ebonite mouthpieces in 24k gold-plated stainless steel braiding. The air column gains in density without losing in flexibility. A binding that structures the power while preserving the natural roundness of the ebonite.

ARTICLE N° 120193
The baritone is not played like any other instrument, and its acoustic mass demands accessories capable of framing the breath without suffocating it. The Brancher France BHG meets this challenge with elegance. Designed for ebonite mouthpieces, this ligature braids extremely fine stainless steel wires, covered with a 24k gold plating that is more than just a shimmer. This gilding acts like a sound buffer: it softens the contact of the metal on the ebonite to preserve the roundness so characteristic of black mouthpieces.

Imagine the low notes of your baritone. Under this ligature, they blossom. The attack remains frank and precise, and the auditory spectrum widens. The reed vibrates freely, held in place by an even tension that runs along its entire length. The air column is straight, dense and compact, ideal for projecting jazz bass lines or orchestral sections.

The included plastic mouthpiece cover protects this little masterpiece. Placed on the mouthpiece, the BHG doesn't just shine: it structures the sound of the giant.
