Ligature and Cap

The Brancher France THR semi-rigid ligature for tenor offers a full-bodied sound and an even air column. Its double nylon weave hugs the ebonite mouthpiece, while the two-rail metal plate releases vibrations. A stable base for expressive playing.

ARTICLE N° 120201
The Brancher France THR for tenor saxophone doesn't filter out the personality of your mouthpiece, it reveals it. Articulation becomes sharper, the bass more fleshy, the midrange fuller: the tenor finds a nuanced voice.

This combination of suppleness and precision comes from its multi-layer design. The double nylon weave encloses the mouthpiece with controlled flexibility, guaranteeing a perfect seal without ever blocking vibrations. The metal pressure plate, fitted with two longitudinal rails, concentrates the energy on the reed in a linear fashion. This precise point of contact promotes balanced pressure distribution, allowing the reed to beat freely for a dense, even column of air.

Versatile by nature, this semi-rigid ligature is just as suited to muscular jazz as it is to the most lyrical classical. It stabilises the reed in all dynamics, from fragile pianissimo to the most committed forte. Supplied with a mouthpiece cover, it protects the instrument during pauses and rests, so that the tenor is always ready to deploy its broad acoustic spectrum.
