Pedal Power

The Stack Flex type 1 is fitted with a 5.5mm / 2.1mm plug, negative centre, also known as the BOSS standard. By using two isolated outputs from a Cioks power supply, the Stack Flex gives you the sum of the voltages of the two sockets used. If your power supply doesn't have a dedicated 18V socket, you can use the Stack Flex to power an 18V pedal using two isolated 9V sockets. The most common 18V pedals are those from MXR, Pigtronix and some Wha or Overdrives.

ARTICLE N° 73956
Note that the Stack Flex establishes a series connection between the two output sockets used.

These two sockets must be isolated from each other.

You obtain the sum of the voltages (Volt) and not the current (Ampere).

If you use it with two 9V sockets each rated at 100mA, you'll get 18V and still a maximum current of 100mA.

BE CAREFUL when using Stack Flex.
There is a risk of damaging your 9V pedals by supplying it with too high a voltage.
Be sure to check the specifications of your pedals.
