The Code Drumheads BLASTCL16 Blast Transparent 16" bass drumhead is designed to give a clean attack and well-defined bass. Its simple 10 mil ply construction reacts quickly under the bat and lets the bass drum breathe.
This structure provides a good balance between power and sensitivity. Each hit comes through clearly, with a present bass that carries well in the mix.
The transparent finish keeps the sound direct and open. Sustain remains natural and can easily be adjusted by tuning or damping the bass drum.
The aluminium rim with steel core helps the head stay in tune over time. Even with solid hits, the tension remains stable.
This head is designed for 16" bass drums. It works very well on compact kits or configurations with a floor tom converted into a bass drum.
