Cort's KX307 Multi Scale Open Pore Mahogany is a 7-string multi-fret electric guitar (25.5″-27″), offering a tight and accurate low register while maintaining smooth playability on the high strings. The screw-on maple neck (also with maple fingerboard) offers great stability, while the 15.75" radius and 24 frets provide optimum comfort for fast riffs or fluid solos. The multi-fret configuration (648-686 mm / 25.5''-27'') gives the lower strings (low B / low E) remarkable tension and clarity, while retaining a familiar feel on the higher strings for bends and leads.
Each of the two dual-coil 'PowerBar' pickups has been designed with multi-string guitars in mind, delivering a powerful, balanced signal across all seven strings with no loss of definition. The through-string bridge enhances sustain and note separation, for precise articulation even on tight palm mutes.
The controls are classic and efficient, with volume, tone and a 3-position selector to get straight to the point. In short, this model is a well-designed instrument, capable of offering a mix of power, precision and comfort, ideal if you're aiming for a modern, dense and controlled sound.
