We've all been there: you lower the tuning, and suddenly the low strings are floating, limp, intonation resistant: the Cort Space G6MS abolishes this problem thanks to its multiscale concept. Each string has its own pitch length, optimised for its tension. The basses, which are longer (25.5"), are firmer. The trebles, slightly shorter (25"), retain their natural suppleness. Your playing in Drop C or standard B acquires a definition you thought was reserved for standard tunings.

The headless design is an ergonomic revolution. By eliminating the mass at the end of the neck, Cort has created an instrument whose centre of gravity rests against you. No tilting, no struggle to keep the neck horizontal. That makes all the difference, especially when standing for an entire set. The screw-neck construction and 5-ply neck made from torrefied maple and walnut guarantee direct vibration transmission. The adjustable truss rod at both ends lets you tame the relief of the neck with a simple allen key.

Place your fingers on the torrefied maple fingerboard. The Ergo V profile, 21 mm thick at the first fret, perfectly fills the palm of your hand for intuitive control. The compound radius, which flattens progressively from 12 to 15.75 inches, facilitates both chords close to the wide nut (42 mm) and extreme bends in the high registers.

For power, turn to the pair of Cort Voiced Tone VTH77 double-coil pickups in HH configuration. They deliver a powerful, quiet signal. The 5-position selector switch explores varied terrain: the bridge position alone is chiselled for technical metal; the combination of the two pickups brings a full sound for stoner rock. The tone control works gently to attenuate high frequencies without ever muffling the sound.

The ensemble is crowned by the proprietary headless vibrato bridge, a model of stability. Complemented by luminescent side markers and an included carry case, this model has it all.
