Often called Custom Light, the EXP13 strings are an original hybrid class proposed by D'Adario. They represent a satisfactory compromise for players seeking the depth and projection of low caliber bass strings while having a smaller voltage high strings for easier bends.

The string D'Addario EXP coating is now available in NY Steel. Invented, perfected and manufactured by D'Addario in New York, this new alloy high carbon steel delivers resistance to breakage and a stability agreement ever. The strings are coated with a high quality material for a sensation similar to an untreated game but with a lifetime four times longer and better tuning stability.
